COMP IS ON we will try our best to run it all on Saturday due to wind forecast for Sunday
The plan is to have a team of paid judges for the duration of the competition.
Competitor registration 8am. Briefing 8.30am. First heat 9am. Bring your BCU / Governing body membership card. Governing body membership is essential to cover the insurance needs of the event.
There are toilets at the car park.
We aim to run the contest over both the Saturday and the Sunday, depending on conditions and entries.
Sunday Sunday morning we will meet at 8.30am with an aim to starting at 9am. Competition will most likely run onto the Sunday, with most finals also being on Sunday. We will do prize giving immediately after the event.

Rules, safety and specifications
The event will be run to World Surf Kayak Association rules. These can be found at www.wska.org and includes boat specification, judging criteria, age categories etc. In particular, all boats must have flotation bag or full foam, and end-tapes. Competitors are expected to make decisions on the day, suited to their abilities and surf conditions, with the safety of themselves and others in mind.
Camping and Overnight
There is overnight parking available on the road side at Fresh West but not in the car park itself. There is also a NEW campsite opened a couple of minutes up the road, this is called Gupton Farm, this is owned and run by the National Trust prices start at £14 per night for a camper van with 1 person including electricity.
