The comp is on! 13 Sep 2018 @ 16:57
Hi All The comp is on....
We have borderline waves on Saturday but I am hopeful to be able to run some heats over the high tide. Over night into Sunday the swell and wind is due to pick up.
So if we don't have contesterble waves on Saturday, we will go on hold until Sunday which will definitely have big waves all day but could be a little tough in the wind!
Meet in Whitesands car park for 8am on Saturday for registration, briefing will be taking place at 8.30am. Hopefully (swell permitting) first heats will start at 9am.
Look forward to seeing you all on the weekend!

Hi All the long range fore cast is looking like there will be a contesterble wave both days but bigger on Sunday. I will make the final call on Thursday night on the plan for the weekend.
Terms and Conditions of Entry
The event will be run to World Surf Kayak Association rules. These can be found at www.wska.org and include boat specification, judging criteria, age categories etc. In particular, all boats must have flotation bag or full foam, and end-tapes.
Competitors are expected to make decisions on the day suited to their abilities and surf conditions, and with safety of themselves and others in mind. A safety boat system works with competitors ready for the next heat being at the water-edge ready to aid a rescue.
All boats will have full buoyancy and be in good condition, all paddlers will wear a helmet and buoyancy aid with exception of skis who are not required to wear a buoyancy aid but it is advised subject to ability and conditions.
By entering you agree to the payment/refund policy. Some costs will be incurred in organising the event so a maximum of 50% refund will be available.
