UPDATE - It's on everyone Fresh West 8am Saturday morning
The British Championships are back! Some of the UK's finest surf kayakers and waveskiers will battle it out on Saturday and Sunday opportunity to win great prizes from our event sponsors, and the glory of winning the British Surf Kayak Champion Title!
Freshwater West, Pembrokeshire.
Entries are in advance only, to be completed and paid by 22nd September.
- Select the classes you want to register for and press the Register button next to them (you will need to be logged in) * Remember 3 classes maximum*
- Once you have selected those, make your payment: Entry is £20 for first class £10 for Second and Third class with a maximum of 3 classes per person.
There will be a head judge for the entire event, to ensure consistency with judging, but competitors will be expected to help out, and there will be a rota on the day to show who is judging and when.
Is the event on?
This will be confirmed Thursday evening at the latest.
There will be a social gathering for those wishing to join us 8pm at the Castle Inn, Manorbier
Competitor registration 8am. Briefing 8.30am. First heat 9am. Bring your BCU / Governing body membership card. Governing body membership is essential to cover the insurance needs of the event.
There are toilets at the car park.
We aim to run the contest over both the Saturday and the Sunday, depending on conditions and entries.
Saturday we're back at the Castle Inn, Manorbier Saturday at The Castle Inn Manorbier... The menu would be a main & a pint for £13.00

We have a couple of big tables booked for arrival between 5 and 5.30 with it being the Wales v Australia match it will be pretty busy everywhere. If you could e mail Kelly@surfh2o.co.uk if you would like to eat here, with your meal choice, so that we can pre-order.
There's a big car park down the road from the castle where we parked up overnight last year with no problems.

Sunday morning we will meet at 8.30am with an aim to starting at 9am. Competition will most likely run onto the Sunday, with most finals also being on Sunday. We will do prize giving immediately after the event.
- For any categories completed during Saturday, prize giving will be at the beach, at the end of the day.
- For categories completed during Sunday, prize giving will be at the beach, immediately following the contest.

The event will be run to World Surf Kayak Association rules. These can be found at www.wska.org and include boat specification, judging criteria, age categories etc. In particular, all boats must have flotation bag or full foam, and end-tapes. Competitors are expected to make decisions on the day suited to their abilities and surf conditions, and with safety of themselves and others in mind.
