The plan is to have a team of paid judges for the duration of the competition.
Safety cover will be provided by Dragon Activity Guides
Competitor registration 8am at WHITESANDS. Briefing 8.30am. First heat 9am. Bring your BCU / Governing body membership card. Governing body membership is essential to cover the insurance needs of the event.
There are toilets and a cafe at the car park. (Parking is £5 per day)
We aim to run the contest over both the Saturday and the Sunday, depending on conditions and entries.
Sunday morning we will meet at 8.30am with an aim to starting at 9am. Competition will most likely run onto the Sunday, with most finals also being on Sunday. We will do prize giving immediately after the event.

Rules, safety and specifications
The event will be run to World Surf Kayak Association rules. These can be found at www.wska.org and includes boat specification, judging criteria, age categories etc. In particular, all boats must have flotation bag or full foam, and end-tapes. Competitors are expected to make decisions on the day, suited to their abilities and surf conditions, with the safety of themselves and others in mind.
Camping and Overnight
There is NO overnight parking available in Whitesands Carpark. There is a campsite next to the car park - Whitesands Camping 01437 721472.
